Under the hood of the new and shiny Silverado comes a standard 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 310 horsepower and 420 pound-feet torque with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Drivers can expect 23 mpg city and 33 mpg hwy if choosing the optional diesel.

There are also options for a V8 engine – the V8 engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission is the most powerful option offered unless you opt for the all-new Silverado ZR2 Bison edition, which is off-roadable and decked out with black.

Other performance features of the 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 include standard automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, active lane control, auto high beams, and a rearview camera mirror.
